I would've had it differently, but that's just me.
I had got it to prove I'm willing to understand women. Go figure! Anyway, in that picture it's a much more slender version of me, with one of my early mentors (now long dead) in a very bucolic countryside scene. Everybody was calling him "Professor". I was sucking the bone thrown for endless hours of work.

How ironic it seems these days, when all suddenly (perhaps finally?) prove to be frauds.

You will perhaps never know how it felt back then. But I still love my choice, and feel humbled by it.

The day comes when I will return. There are some unpaid dues to my beloved "Vaterland"

K

It was two o'clock p.m., it had just struck
Twice.

And everybody was doing their shopping in underground malls,

Lit by candle-light.

There was this cathedral made of black stone. I was sitting at this fancy hotel, with the most outrageous bath-tub, looking fascinated at the fact there was a mirror above the toilet sit, and another one facing it on the opposite wall. What to admire first?

Oh, and there were separate faucets for cold and hot water.

I met a teacher. An alcoholic teacher that reminded me of somebody I knew. He was attending my workshop, and got really pissed-off when I willingly reflected his authoritarian way. Later, at a cigarette, he came and kissed me on the cheek. "You rascal, you did that on purpose, didn't you?"

I supposed I did. And then the candle-light was off, I was walking on a paved street, it was drizzling, I was returning to my fancy hotel. That was three weeks before.
